Our Story
Hi, we are Colten and Jessie, the faces behind BSandC Custom Home Decor. Everyone has a story and this is part of ours.
We are a husband and wife team that hand select all materials, design, cut, sand, assemble, create, and curate all of our handcrafted signs and decor together all within the walls of our home.
"Encouraging the world one inspirational sign at a time" is the tag line for our business. It is our desire to create home decor that is encouraging, inspirational and holds tight to the Truth spoken in God's Word. With every individual piece we make, our hope is that they will help you to cultivate a welcoming atmosphere within your home. We want to help you artistically display your fondest memories and favorite quotes, so that your home may serve you as both a refuge on the tough days and a threshold to step out of on the days you are inspired to go out and conquer the world.
How it all began:
Back in 2013, we started making custom decor for our wedding. That sparked a passion inside both of us to continue to creating unique items. We started making a few different decor items, here and there, for family, friends and an occasional sale on Etsy.
In 2017 we had a few unexpected life changes within our family and God led us in a very quick move from Spokane, Wa to Wenatchee, Wa. Due to the unexpected move and some unfortunate events with attempting to rent and sell our home in Spokane, we were struggling trying to pay for two mortgages and provide for our family of 3 at the time. It was then that God began to put this adventure more and more on our hearts.

In the Spring on 2018 BSandC Custom Home Decor officially launched. Our business name comes from the verse above. Be Strong and Courageous.
Since then, this journey has definitely been a rollercoaster. The Lord has not only grown our family to a family of 5 but this business as well. We feel extremely blessed and are thankful to God, our family, friends and of course, our wonderful and supportive customers! It is because of your support and encouragement that we have gotten this far and have the opportunity and the means for Jessie to stay home to nurture and homeschool our kids.
